Performance Seminar
Performing Artists are trapped in over-thinking and obsessive judgment on stage. This is the most common barrier to audience connection. Luther's approach is about breaking down the fear walls that are holding you back from accessing the most expressive and vulnerable version of yourself on stage.
Luther teaches the expressive stage skills of voice, movement, story telling, audience engagement and focus to unlock self-expression, and break down the fear wall that causes obsessive over-thinking and self-judgment.
Destroy The Stage Seminar is a live performance coaching event for Performing Artists like you've never seen.
In the past, performance coaching events have been banquet-hall seminars with a stage, and a performer, and a coach telling them when to jump-kick to make their show razzle dazzle. Destroy The Stage is not about choreography.
DTS is Luther Mallory's wild-energy, transformational, 2-hour performance coaching event focused on helping Performing Artists overcome the mental, emotional, and spiritual barriers that limit self-expression and stop Artists from taking risks with an audience. Controlling overthinking and staying connected to the moment is a learnable skill. We've witnessed hundreds of Performing Artists over a decade of coaching root into the moment, let go of fear and judgment, risk more, and reconnect in an instant using the methods Artists will learn at DTS.
Artists will be challenged to break down the mental, emotional, and spiritual barriers that keep them trapped by fear instead of tapped into their fearless self-expression - where the audience connection happens. This is how we summon the peak performance state Artists refer to as “the moment”.
About luther
What I show Performing Artists is how to root into the moment to control overthinking and overwhelm when performing. It's the work I've done with 1000+ Artists and Performers over the last 10 years for the JUNO Masterclass, CMI's Artist Entrepreneur Program, in private rehearsals across the continent, and virtually across the world.
I got my start coaching Artists and Performers because I spent 10 years on tour in a band, sleeping in a van with 6 other guys in the West Edmonton Mall parking lot in Canadian January. I played 1000 shows across North America and developed performance methods to deal with the mental, emotional, and spiritual barriers that kept me trapped in overthinking and obsessive judgment on stage, instead of in the moment with the audience and connected to my art. Then I started teaching my methods to other Artists and it made a dramatic difference in how they felt on stage and how they connected with their audiences.
Destroy The Stage is my opportunity to show Artists the skills I've taught to world-class Performers for a decade, and to do it while challenging the audience, and myself, to take risks, get on stage or stand up in your seat, and show us your fearless self-expression.
